Happy Days

Mummy & Mimi plus one! 0

We are pleased to announce the newest arrival to our family little Hattie.  Born Wednesday 30th January weighing 6lb 13oz by c-section.  She was just perfect and so tiny.

She is fitting in well, although in the space of 3 and a half years I had forgotten the sleepless nights and the constant feeding.  Mimi loves her however she wants her to play with her and we found poor Hattie with a sticker on her nose!

Lost momentum…………. 1

Oh gosh I have been so slack lately……..I have lost my momentum!  I am struggling to settle Mimi back into playschool and we have had a flu like bug which has thrown us.  Leaving Mimi each morning having to be peeled off me is breaking me.  Yesterday I came out in tears.  Its just so hard.  They assure me that within 5mins of me leaving she is fine, but it doesn’t make it any easier.

I was thinking about what we have been up to since last updating our blog………

There has been lots of painting.  Our favourite past time this summer has been painting stones outside and covering everything in glitter.

I saved the vouchers from the packs of Babybel and our new packed lunch box has arrived!!  Its a very irritating shape and you can’t actually get very much in it.

We have been for coffee on the pier.  They are soooooooo slow in there, I think they must have sent someone off to pick the beans.

We made cakes for a friends birthday present.

Now that I am feeling better we have recommenced the face painting and baking.  We have moved on from tigers to butterflies! Amelie wants to do baking most afternoons.  I am going to have to start thinking of healthier options all these cakes aren’t helping our waistlines!

Paralympics 2012 0

A few weeks ago we were lucky enough to get tickets for the Paralypmics.  I must have spent a week this summer glued to the Olympic website in an attempt to get tickets.

So on Tuesday we set off to watch the athletics.  We would have gone on the train but the cost of the tickets was astronomical.  To arrive at Stratford in time for the 10am start the tickets for us (Mimi is free as she is under 5) was £130.00!!!!!  Our Paralympic tickets were £25.00.  Instead we left home at 6am and travelled to Blackheath/Lewisham where we parked on the road and travelled to Stratford overground on the DLR.

Mimi showing off her British Airways Tattoo she was given.

We had a fab day, the sun was out and it was seriously hot definitely sun cream weather and not rain coats as the forecast had said earlier in the week..  The atmosphere was amazing and Mimi got a lot of high “5′s” from staff in the park.

Day trip to Hastings 0

At the weekend we took a trip along the coast to Hastings to meet some of our friends that were over from New Zealand.

A couple of rides in the theme park, fish and chips on the beach, an amazing ice cream and great company.  I think it would be fair to say we all had a great day.
