Sleep deprivation. 0
I had forgotten just how hard it can be when your little bundle of joy decides that they don’t want to sleep during the night. Being awake at two in the morning is hard, but when they wont settle for two hours you start to feel like you are loosing your sanity. You run through the check list: Is she still hungry? Maybe she needs a clean nappy? Maybe she has got wind? Is it the milk? The list of possibilities is endless. The health professionals tell you to sleep when they do. This is great advice for a first time parent, but if you have a toddler to consider too then its just not that easy. Its difficult not to keep comparing back to your first child. I am sure that Mimi got into a routine and went four hours between feeds quite quickly or am I only remembering the bits I want to remember? All I know is I need to sleep!
